Four Styles of the Basic Black Jumpsuit
What do you do when there's a foot of snow on the ground in New England? You look at summer clothing all day. These black jumpsuits have simple, clean lines providing a great blank canvas for that perfect necklace or pair of sandals. You might even be able to get away with pairing these with a top and booties for colder months.

Find some colorful/print jumpsuit options here, here, here and this very slinky black jumpsuit here.

Detailing In The Back
In love with tops with open backs or pretty, lacy backs lately.
*I wanted to incorporate a pun using 'baby's got back' but I couldn't bring myself to do it.

Handmade Perfume Oils
When it comes to perfume I am not a one scent kind of girl. I like to switch it up and try new things rather than wear one scent all the time.
Recently I did the 'choose your own' sampler pack from Sweet Anthem. The perfumes all go by female/male names and they happened to have a Rebecca scent so naturally that one came in the pack. Rebecca is a scent that I would choose by the description. It has notes of ginger, amber and Moroccan fig. It is the type of scent I would wear often which I have since the holidays. He also chose Anita and Annabelle. The scent I have really fallen for is Annabelle. I would have never chosen this scent by the description of sea salt, jasmine and osmanthus. But every time I put it on I can't stop smelling my wrists. I've been wearing Annabelle almost daily lately. I plan to buy the larger version of this perfume and also try some other similarly scented oils by Sweet Anthem.
I also tried out two samples from Phoenix Botanicals. I had my eye on the scent Amber and Blue for quite some time because the description sounded like something I might like. When I was poking around in Phoenix Botanicals I also found Bonfire Rose. The name sold me right away but then I read the description: "Sweet wild roses, green meadows, gentle trails of bonfire smoke. Beloved scents of Summer carried by a warm wind, settling into a smooth smoky rose, followed by golden myrrh and incense." Ding, ding - sold! Bonfire Rose is light with a smoky rose scent as described. I like that is isn't too overpowering like some rose scents can be. I haven't tried Amber and Blues yet. I have smelled the vial but haven't tried it on my skin yet. I'm looking forward to giving it a try.
There is something kind of fun about reading descriptions of perfume online and ordering without testing them out first. I've noticed that most online perfumers offer affordable samples and it's exciting to wait for the package to come in the mail.

Fall Footwear Options
Which style would you choose? The ankle boots seem like the most versatile Fall & Winter option because they pair well with long skirts, short skirts and jeans. I don't know though, I love those booties and have had my eye on them for a long time!

Is it Spring or Summer where you live? Then check out these cute shoe options.

Adorable Vintage Baby Clothes
Sylas will be two next month and has long outgrown his baby duds but that doesn't stop me from loving cute baby outfits. I have seven ladies in my life who are expecting this year and I've had my eye out for adorable newborn/baby finds for gifting purposes. Belle Heir has a well curated collection of vintage baby clothing dating all the way back to the early 1900s. The selection above is just a few sweet offerings as Belle Heir offers up quite a collection of beautiful baby clothing.

Muku
The simple, clean lines of the Lithuanian clothing line Muku are a sight for sore eyes when it comes to children's clothing. The line's online catalog and lookbooks are styled perfectly. My favorite piece is the grey linen jumpsuit with ribbon (shown above) which Muku offers in three other fabric/color choices.

Fischer Clothing
I love Fischer Clothing's simple, feminine staples for the ladies and relaxed preppy vibe for the men. I have a thing for simple, clean lines and Fischer Clothing seems to be all about that. Above are my favorite looks from Fischer's Spring 2012 Lookbook. Below are four looks that I love from the collection that is currently availabe at Fischer. Fischer has archived their lookbooks - I'd highly reccomend checking out the Fischer Fall 2010 Lookbook - their team really captured a beautiful old timey feel.

Men's Look: The Henley
One of John's go to pieces is the henley because it is comfy and versatile. John wears the henley dubbing around on Sunday and he dresses it up under sweaters and blazers for a classic, effortless look at work. He tends to go with a straight up henley in solid colors similar to the handsome ink blue version shown above. However, I could see him in the striped henley with elbow patches (that's about as tricked out as he will take it) and the collared henley offers another variation perfect for workdays.

Collared Henley - J.A.C.H.S Barry Shirt

Dreamy Vintage

Have you seen the Bless That Dress lookbook from last fall? Shot by Ana Cuba the lookbook illustrates a dreamy vintage world featuring clothing from Spain from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. You can see the full vintage curation right here. I'm loving the collection of plaid skirts.

I love this outfit. The color combination of the teal, navy and red is bright, yet feminine and the outfit is perfect for a leisurely adventure. And her hair is styled beautifully! Images by Lisa Warniger of Urban Weeds. |

Dazzling Lanna
This is, hands down, something I need to have - any one of 'em! I wish I could have one of every bag in stock. I love the fabric patterns and the work is SO colorful. I'm in love with Dazzling Lanna.

Xenotees
Johnny's been on the hunt for new tees and he keeps saying he wants something hip, different - you know the drill - not something you can just find anywhere. So I surprised him with the Collective Names of Animals Xenotee. Noelle - the designer/maker behind Xenotees designs all of the tees graphics and she's super friendly, helpful and sweet. Johnny loves his tee - keeps saying how soft it is and he loves layering it under a blazer for dress down days at work (so cute!).
