8/52 & 9/52

The 52 Project:  a portrait of someone I love (usually my son), once a week, every week, in 2013.

I didn't get the chance to post the 8/52 portrait last weekend so I thought I would post it here with 9/52. Last week's photo is of Sylas using a tupperware to take a photo of me. He's pointing at me saying "I take your pitcha momma."

This week's photo is from the two of us baking on our day off together. He is concentrating on rolling out his dough with flour, chocolate and a tiny hint of a smile on his face - love that.  He kept saying, "Wizard! I'm cooking, Wiz!" and "I'm the pancake man!"  He was pretending to roll out pancakes with the cookie batter.  You can see more photos from our baking session here and here.

For the week of 8/52 I loved the portraits found here from a blog called Milk Please Mum.

  6. When i bake with my two year old son it's always a disaster (flour everywhere...), but i end up "smiling inside"!!

    1. Ines,

I know what you mean! My son is also two and it was a disaster. I try to keep to recipes that only have about 5 ingredients or so to minimize any extreme messiness but there was flour everywhere and peanut butter all over his shirt. It is fun to see how empowering it is for them to have a little bit of freedom in the kitchen isn't it?

      Thanks for stopping by,
      Rebecca

      Thanks for stopping by,

    1. Hi Tahnee,

Thank you! I enjoy the stories as well. IT does make everything more real and relatable and it is nice to think we are connecting with people all over the world. You are most welcome for the link up - I am glad to have found your blog and always enjoy your photos!

    1. Thank you Malia! I think you should start when the new baby is born. It would be so neat to have the whole year documented week by week of how he grows!
